PERI-GUM is a botanical mouthwash concentrate formulated by US naturopath Joe Lesky – originally for his 31 year old son Jim, who was suffering from advanced gum disease. Formulated with seven active botanical ingredients, PERI-GUM has been found to be effective in supporting gum health
Instructions For Use
5 drops in 15 ml of water [about a tablespoon] provides an effective rinse twice a day for three months from one bottle of PERI-GUM.
Rinse strength can be increased to a maximum of 25 drops per 15 ml of water twice a day if required.
Rinse after brushing & flossing teeth and hold each rinse for up to 30 seconds. A soft brush dipped in PERI-GUM rinse solution may be gently pressed on any infected area of gums.
Best results are obtained by not eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after use.
The bottle should be shaken well ahead of use as the herbal actives are suspended in the fluid in particle form and can settle.

A four week pilot study with 10 adult volunteers indicated that gum and oral health indicators including formation of plaque, all responded well during trial.
The trial also demonstrated that PERI-GUM is safe to use with oral soft tissues, teeth and restorations and that it was a suitable mouthwash product for people suffering from gingivitis.
A 90 day trial by the US Diabetes Resource Center concluded that "PERI-GUM products have significant potential as oral hygiene support in the management of Diabetes Mellitus".
